The following is required:

1.  Must be at least 18 years old
2. Cannot be on probation or pretrial release program
3.  No felony convictions
4.  Any misdemeanor convictions cannot involve crimes that are part of a security officers duties to prevent (i.e. theft, vandalism, battery, assault)
5.  Must complete and pass a minimum 24 hour course by a licensed training facility.  (40 hours total in 2 years)
